Broth is the foundation for many gut-healing plans. While bone broths are known as the staple, there is a place for vegetable broths as well. This broth can be sipped anytime or made into a more complete meal by adding white rice and/or lean, slow-cooked meats.. Making large amounts of broth is a staple in my food prep coaching. Here is how you can start making yours at home!

IN A LARGE POT ON THE STOVE
  1. Combine all ingredients in large soup pot. Bring to boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to simmer. Cover and cook for 4 hours.
  2. Strain broth into another pot or storage container. Discard solids.
  3. Season with salt.
WITH INSTANT POT
  1. Combine all ingredients in pot. Cover and seal. Using the “manual” function, cook on high for 30 minutes.
  2. Let broth sit for 1.5–2 hours.
  3. Strain broth into another pot or storage container. Discard solids.
  4. Season with salt.
